Jennifer Bennet, Executive Director

Jennifer Bennet has served as the Executive Director of The Family Van since 2005. The Family Van and its leaders have received numerous awards for their work. For her work with the Family Van, Ms. Bennet has been honored by the American Heart Association with the Heart of the Mission, by the Mobile Health Clinics Network for her Leadership and by the National Partnership for Prevention for her work on developing a return on investment calculator for mobile clinics.

Five years ago she co-founded Mobile Health Map with Harvard Medical School Dean of Students, Nancy Oriol, MD, in partnership with the Mobile Health Clinics Association to raise awareness about the impact of the mobile health sector across the United States. This project has worked with hundreds of mobile health programs to improve their capacity to evaluate their impact and has published seminal research funded by The Boeing Company, and the Office of Minority Health that demonstrates how mobile health clinics improve access to care and eliminate health disparities. Rainelle Walker-White, Assistant Director

Rainelle Walker-White has over 25 years’ experience in the field of health care delivery for hard to reach populations. She has been employed by the Family Van for 20 years and has served as its supervisor for over eight. Ms. White holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Service. She also has certificates as a Generalist Health Educator as well as Nursing Assistant  and Home Health Aid. She has a working knowledge of the effectiveness of mobile health services, particularly the effectiveness of health screenings relating to cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, reproductive health (including family planning), prenatal care, cancer screening and management, STDs, and HIV/AIDS.

Ms White also conducts many workshops in the community educating people about the importance of health care and wellness. [email]



"On one visit to the Van I found out that I had high cholesterol. As soon as I got home I called my doctor to follow up.

When I went back to the van the people there taught me about what foods to eat, what foods to avoid and even how to prepare things I like differently.

Since then, my cholesterol has been perfect. Never high again, ever."

Lea Saqran, Program Coordinator

Lea is the newest member of the Family Van, as the new Program Coordinator. Lea has worked as a biomedical researcher in Massachusetts, USA and Cairo, Egypt for over six years. She is actively involved in many community service projects and civil racial and sexual rights organizations in Boston and Western Massachusetts. Lea is an advocate for women’s rights and she speaks English, Arabic and French. She holds a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from Mount Holyoke College.

Ghislaine Firmin, Community Health Worker

Ghislaine Firmin is a native of Haiti who drives our mobile unit and also provides health screening and counseling.  Prior to coming to The Family Van she worked for many years as a medical assistant providing care to individuals in their homes and helping them make lasting lifestyle changes. She speaks Haitian Creole to the many natives of Haiti who step aboard which allows them to have direct contact with someone who understands their language and culture.  We value her unique combination of skills which allows her to work with us as both a community health worker and get our 40 foot mobile clinic through the streets of Boston each week. Mary Kathryn Fallon, Grants Manager

Mary Kathryn Fallon, CPA, is our grants manager. She has extensive experience working with companies in both the medical and non-profit sector. While working as a senior auditor for KPMG LLP, Ms. Fallon audited many companies in the healthcare and life sciences lines of business. Over the past 16 years, she has focused her efforts on many non-profit organizations, including several whose missions promote and support education in Massachusetts and in Tanzania. Mary Kathryn holds a Masters Degree in Accountancy from Bentley University and a BA in Liberal Arts from The University of Connecticut. Mary Kathryn has held her CPA license since 1995. [email]


Greg Baker

Greg is our Outreach and Communications Coordinator. A recent graduate of St. Michael’s College in Burlington, VT he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and has a passion for social justice, health equity, storytelling, and photography. He is our Life Together Fellow a part of the Episcopal Service Corps. [email]
